So back to the laundry room. Our laundry room is the tinest thing you've ever seen. A hole in the wall. Literally. And it quickly became a dumping ground for everything I didn't want to take the time to find a real spot for. Extra paint, laundry baskets we didn't need, random storage I threw on the top shelf. It was HORRIBLE. I would just shut the door and refuse to think about it. So this week I was getting really antsy to work on some kind of project and I knew what I needed to do. Are you ready to see some of the ugliest, most embarrassing before pictures of all time? Followed by some beautiful, keep the door of the laundry room open worthy pictures? Bring. Them. On.
|Even Hudson was embarrassed to be seen near this room. Just look at those ears.|
Are you ready for the afters?!
I cant stop smiling every time I walk past this little hole int he wall. I haven't even shut the doors yet because that's how happy this room makes me. Who knows? Maybe I'll even love doing laundry now! Too far? Yeah I thought so.
Quick little list of the things I bought to spruce up the room:
Drink Dispensers for Soap- Walmart-$12 each
Colorful Storage Boxes- Ikea $22 for the set of four
Glass containers for extra storage-Walmart- $5 each
Blue Mason Jar to hold Borax- Already had from Target
Baskets on top shelf for extra storage- Already had from Homegoods, Marshalls, etc.
Chalkboard Labels- Already had from Walmart
Wooden Laundry Room Sign- Made it from a scrap of wood, wood stain, paint & stencils
So that's about it- a quick shopping day and $60 later I have a laundry room I'm not embarrassed of anymore. I just wish I would have done this sooner!
